There is a new Star Trek series on the way and the first trailer has hit!

Star Trek Discovery follows a ship, aptly named Discovery, flying 10 years before the enterprise, long before famous womanizer Captain Kirk conquested round the solar system and dared to kiss a black woman.

The new series has an Asian-American captain and a black female Vulcan (we think at least of mixed Vulcan descent like Spock!) leading the cast with white men seemingly in subservient positions.

This is awesome and I can’t wait to see how they put the story and action into play HOWEVER, remember, this is set 10 years before enterprise.

So, if there were women and POCs running the show 10 years before the mostly male and white crew (splashed with a little color, Thanks to the likes of Mr Takei and Ms Nichols) took to the stars that tells us one thing.

Things got considerably worse! Rights for POCs and Women diminished in the Star Trek future! That sucks!
