On Thursday CNN’s Van Jones, the host of “The Messy Truth” mad an announcement that he has signed up with Jay Z’s Roc Nation and will be affiliated with the company for activism.

Through the new affiliation Van Jones wants to get more attention to work not talked about on Cable TV and the several initiatives he works on.

Such as his initiative that helps underprivileged youth learn to code and get involved in the teach sector, his work to reduce the prison population and his “Love Army” movement.

Jay said that Jones “inspires the dialogue that is necessary for making change” and added “Van’s immense capacity for empathy builds bridges,”
