The first black state attorney In Florida Aramis Ayala refused to seek the death penalty including against accused cop killer Markeith Loyd and has now been subject to what she believes is a hate crime after she was mailed a noose.

She received two racist letters over two weeks, one contained the noose made of twine and she forwarded both letters to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the sheriff’s office has since launched an investigation.

The Orlando Sentinel says that Ayala filed in an incident report that she “believes the hangman’s noose was meant as a threat to her as a public official.”

Ayala is no stanger to hate since she took on her role. One comment on her Youtube page reads:

“Fucking n***rs. n***rs everywhere. the black woman is sticking up for a convicted COP killer. She should be on trial for her job and fired and thrown to the streets. She should pick cotton for the rest of her life and be whipped.”
