Rock Legend Eddie Vedder Thanks Chance The Rapper For The Great Work And Music Activism In Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Speech

Chance the Rapper and Pearl Jam are two music artists very far apart in style however both have shunned the mainstream over the years and as the veterans Pearl Jam and their frontman Eddie Vedder entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year Vedder took a moment to let Chance know that if he was listening that he is appreciated… Oh and that Eddie’s daughter loves Chance too!

That was cute!

Grunge legends Pearl Jam were being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and during their acceptance set and speeches frontman Eddie Vedder took a moment to say:

“If somehow, some way Chance the Rapper ever sees or hears this, I just want to tell him my daughter, Olivia, loves you,”

“I also, Chance, want to thank you for all the great work you’re doing in Chicago. That’s the kind of music activism that gives us all hope.”

Pearl Jam have a long history of going against the mainstream, putting fans first and also doing charity work so it’s obvious why Vedder would admire Chance who is definitely forging his own path and laying in wake a path of positivity.

Chance recently raised $2.2 million for Chicago Public Schools and that comes after his own $1 million donation.
