No Limit Records founder Percy Miller aka Master P will be seeing his life represented on the silver screen as filming for his biographical movie starts this summer, 2017, in New Orleans.

A recent press release said that the movie will follow his life from childhood to his hip-hop career and business success.

It will be named “King of the South” and we’ll get to see Queen Latifah and New Orleans favorite Wendell Pierce playing roles in a New Orleans backdrop.

And to make things better Master P wants natives to be part of the project wherever possible.

He said:

“I believe there are so many talented actors and actresses that just need a shot.”

“The timing is right for me to tell my story,”

“It was tough back then especially being from the South, New Orleans was the murder capital at the time. I want others to learn from my mistakes and understand my work ethic of never giving up, no matter what it may look like.

”
