We all have to be very aware of this, Africa is being exploited. Both it’s resources and it’s people. Heartless money making corporate machines…. And us, here in USA, we are part of the problem.

Cobalt is in many electrical devices, from cell phones to laptops to electric car batteries and more. Likelihood is that the machine you are reading on now has cobalt inside and it’s also fairly likely it comes from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Many mines operate in absolutely inhumane conditions with children being forced to work, threatened with beating and pushed to the brink of death.

And Chinese companies buy this cobalt to sell onto large companies. The origin is often unknown and in some cases ignored completely. See no evil, hear no evil…. Right?
