A black student was suspened from a North Carolina highschool after he had an altercation with a white student on 3rd March. Now protests from students have erupted calling for the black student, named Micah Street, to have his suspension revoked. Why?

Well, the altercation was caught on camera and Micah Street was said to be defending himself against racist abuse.]

In the video it sounds like the white student calls Micah a “black piece of sh*t.” and although it starts with the white student on the ground it seems that Micah’s concerns about the racism are not be heard by the teacher who us yelling at Micah and notes that the other student only used words!

Students have said the fight happened after months of racist remarks.
