Nikki Giovanni: No Holds Barred on Trump and the Black People Who Support Him

by | Feb 3, 2017 | Celebrities | 0 comments

Nikki Giovanni is being blunt and letting it all hang out when expressing her feeling about the current administration and their supporters. Specifically their black supporters.

“My heart breaks for the next generation with these fools in the White House,” she said. “Asking us to give Trump a chance is like asking Jews to give Hitler a chance. I read that 8 percent of Blacks voted for him. That’s like a vote for slavery.”

And she’s right! I hope you all are paying attention. Trump removed white supremacist groups from the terror watch program. They recently rolled back Obama’s gun background check rule so now mentally ill individuals can purchase guns, mentally ill individuals like the ones that shot up elementary schools and churches. And let’s not forget about the Muslim ban.

Trump and his administration are revitalizing hate and racism while making it easier for mentally unstable racist white Americans to obtain guns.

But Giovanni didn’t stop there:

“The best thing that could happen to America would be if Trump and Pence were on a plane that crashed and burned,” Giovanni said, declining to rephrase her statement. “I’m so proud of the smart people in Black Lives Matter. They are doing their job and working to fight racism,” she continued said. “The women who organized the Women’s March were standing up for Black lives. They marched for reproductive freedoms and equal pay. They are very smart to do what they are doing. It is comforting to see people of all colors joining the fight for equality.”

“If I had a chance to talk to Hitler, I’d say nothing,” Giovanni said, comparing Trump to Hitler who was responsible for the deaths of over six million Jewish people. “If Satan sits next to you, what do you say? Satan is not looking for conversation. He wants a weakness to exploit. Trump also would not listen and only a fool would try to reason with him. He is beyond redemption.”

This will be an uphill battle for us and Ms. Giovanni gave it to us straight, no chancer. We have to start working together, now more than ever to combat the on pour of racism that is running our way.
