Wyclef Jean Quickly Deletes ‘All Lives Matter’ Tweet, Clarifies His ‘Black Lives Matter’ Stance!

Wyclef Jean is putting out his first body of work in 7 years and to start the promotion he put out a tweet that quickly drew critisim.

He tweeted “Martin Luther King Fought Because All Lives Matter” with a video clip of his upcoming EP “J’ouvert.”

However the tweet drew a lot of response and he deleted it within three hours! Below are just a few of those responses.

Wyclef came out and posted the following;

In the linked interview he says “The reason why Black Lives Matter is that you can’t keep executing Black people in broad daylight and it is on video and you get away with it,” he says in the clip. “That is why Black Lives Matter. It’s the same thing if you got back to it when they were lynching. … We are not saying that white lives don’t matter. … Only idiots would be saying ‘Why do Black lives matter?’”
