‘Good Times’, ‘All in the Family’, ‘The Jeffersons’ Getting Reboots With A Twist….

Reboots are often a BAD idea, the updates often miss the mark or try to hard to nod the original source material. They rarely work as people would like.

However, Sony Pictures Television is talking about rebooting ‘All in the Family’, ‘Good Times’, ‘The Jeffersons’ and other classics in a different way and this may actually work, very well!

How many times have you seen your favorite play? And how often have the cast been different? I’m sure if the productions were good, every version had it’s merits, if the source is good, and the production value is good, each new direction is a joy to see.

The idea for these reboots is similar! Keep the script exactly as it, but film with new actors, new director and new sets. They will be kept short and packaged as six episode mini-series’.

What do you think of this idea?
