Haiti Was KEY In Liberating South America!

Haiti was such a strong nation, the first free black state in the America’s…. If France hadn’t punished and pushed their vile repression towards the nation who knows where they would be now. A thriving cultural centre, a role model for other nations and a key part of the liberation of Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Panama as sovereign states from the Spanish rule.

On June 16th 1816 Simon Bolivar decreed the freedom of slaves across South America after he returned from exile in Haiti.

Haiti’s first president Alexandre Pétion made him promise to end slavery in the region and helped by providing supplies and weapons.
