The Good Times was woke back in 1974, it showed interactions and conversations blasted out to Americans who may have not encountered such things. This was TV that empowered blacks and educated whites, something that was severely needed then and is still much needed (maybe more than ever) now!

The second episode, aired on February 15, 1974, was named Black Jesus and had the family discussing the roots of their saviour. The clip below is brilliant!
