THERE IS HOPE! Listen To These Kids Rap About Urban Farming It’s DOPE!

Move over Hot Cheetos & Takis, REAL food is taking over!

These kids rap about growing food and whippin in the kitchen and they obviously had a lot of fun putting the rap and video together for “Grow Food”.

The coolest thing is that these kids were the kids that created the viral hit “Hot Cheetos & Takis” a few years back. It seems they have upgraded their message, hope is here!

Nonprofit Appetite For Change in North Minneapolis wants to fight the food desserts, the areas which are often black, where you can’t eat healthy even if you try! Community gardens, community kitchens and food education to get people eating on track and saving their lives.

As “Grow Food” says, bad food is a bigger killer than guns and drugs. I’m not sure how verifiable that is but with heart disease being the number one killer in the USA it seems right!

In my hood there really ain’t much to eat
Popeyes on the corner, Mcdonalds right across the street
All this talk about guns, and the drugs… Pretty serious!
But look at what they feeding y’all
That’s what’s really killing us

The organisation joined up with the Cheetos kids to renew their message and get a new message out to kids and communities alike. And I love it!

Watch below (and i’ve added the Cheetos vid below that so you can see how much the kids have grown up!). Learn more at Appetite for Change.
