Much can be said about political stance and the way he dresses (yes, the man is very unconventional with his clothes). However, what doesn’t get enough attention is what Cam Newton does for his community. This year marks Cam Newton’s 4th Annual Thanksgiving Jam. Under-privileged kids get a chance to not only eat, but meet Cam as he serve them food and a day full of entertainment.

Events like this gives kids hope. A little hope can take a kid a long way. What I like about Cam is I believe he understands football is a vessel that allows him to do greater things for other people versus himself. If all of our athletes could understand this purpose, more progress could be made in our communities. Success is bigger than cars, clothes, homes, and women.
