For many black Americans the left leaning white response to Trump winning and it dawning on them that America is racist has been laughable.

Many POCs in USA were not that surprised by Trump’s rise to power, by the racism crawling out of the nooks and crannies by the sheer volume of hate that seems to be spit all over the map. The suprise was not there because POCs feel this everyday and they always have.

So, for many white folks this moment was defining and in a sketch for the weekend’s SNL Chris Rock joined host Dave Chappelle to brilliantly poke fun at this.

The hilarious sketch shows Chappelle at an election night party with a bunch of friends.

Bit by bit they see Trump gaining ground but they keep trying to delude themselves that Trump just isn’t going to win…. Even banking on Alaska…

Things just get worse, Trump is clearly going to do it and the mood gets tense…. They realise that he will win.

By this stage Chris Rock has dropped by, he isn’t that suprised by the way things are going and drops some truth bombs!

One of the white guests finally realised that the USA is actually racist, a defining moment for her!
