uTupac and Nortorious B.I.G’s murders were never solved. The duelling rappers left this earth way before their time at the hands of gun violence.

A new pilot will look back at these murders, the investigations and dig deeper into the details.

The new scripted True Crime pilot called “Unsolved” will trace the investigations through the eyes of Gred Kading. He was a former LAPD detective in charge of the task force overseeing both investigations.

The officer chronicled the investigations in the book Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations. This will be the source for the show but he will also act as a consultant and co-executive.

Anthony Hemingway will direct. He won an emmy for FX’s “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson,”.

With anything involving these guys, the culture at the time and the history it can hit the nail on the head or fall far short. So i’ll be nervously waiting to see how this mess is handled.

Maybe it’s better to leave this subject and not dramatize it further, although the investigations should not be closed.
