A follower carrying support for the flag of a Black Confederate faced harassment from KKK members for showing respect to Confederate monument.
Why a Black man would be under the delusion the confederate flag is anything but a hate and terrorist organization symbol is beyond this writer.
It isn’t as if the people behind the Confederate flag didn’t want to overthrow the United States of America and keep slavery legal in the country, which would be reason enough for any Black person or person of reason to hate the flag and those that stand for it, but I digress.
This incident took place on a Monday morning in Jacksonville when 68 years old citizen H.K Edgerton, a black citizen of Asheville showed respect at Confederate Monument of Hemming Park during a protest rally.
Interestingly, Edgerton was former President of the Asheville NAAACP section and also a current part of the Southern Legal Resource Center.
This veteran said that he didn’t have any clue of why he had to face such behavior and according to the First-Coast-News, Edgerton also said that he doesn’t think that the flag is a reflection of racism in the country or in the South.
