St Louis Police are investigating a tragic loss after the remains of a prominent Ferguson activist were found n a burned car.
Darren Seals had risen to become one of the leading voices after Michael Brown was killed by police.
Responders went to put out a burning car in Riverview, just outside of St Louis.
Once extinguished they found Darren’s body, and realised the 29-year-old had also been shot.
The crime has been deemed a homicide by police and the public have been asked to help. However many are dubious about the Police and trust isn’t exactly at it’s highest level towards the police.
Darren worked with a few groups to try and fight against racism, police brutality and more. He described himself as a “Businessman, Revolutionary, Activist, Unapologetically BLACK, Afrikan in AmeriKKKa, Fighter, Leader” and was much respected and loved by many around him.
On Tuesday evening a vigil was held for the slain man.
On September 1st he tweeted his last tweet saying
@KingDSeals – Sep 1
#SleepIsTheNewWoke
Rest In Power Darren, through some grace of something we sincerely hope the murderers, whoever they are, are brought to justice.
