A new movie and a book brings to light a bit of very important history that unsurprisingly has been kept on the down-low during our education.

Did you know that black women mathematicians and scientists were absolutely essential to the success of NASA in the early 1960s? Honestly, I had no clue and just from watching the trailer I already feel proud and educated to now know this.

So, i’ll be buying my ticket to go watch ‘Hidden Figures’ when it hits cinemas on Christmas Day and i’ll be buying the book of the same name.
