This is waht Kwadwo Safo Jr, CEO of Kantanka Group had to say about Ghana’s first car manufacturer. He went onto say:
“People think the doors will come off or the tires will blow off or something.”
So, he acknowledges that as the “Made In Ghana” car hits the road people will be suspicious and the competition will be tough. It’ll be an uphill drive to keep up! BUT he remains positive.
The cars were tested under rough conditions by the Ghanan police department and he said
“These cars are made for Ghana. We know how the roads are, and we built them to stand the roads.”
He is aiming worldwide but right now the cheapest car runs at $20,000. Production needs to be raised to get cheaper prodution and hopefully reduce costs and raise profits.
But with a CEO like this, these African made cars need support and so far they seem like serious competition.
The cars look decent, they are sturdy, and the market seems fired up for them! Let’s see where they go from here!
