POSITIVITY: “Don’t tell me these boys can’t soar!”

Young African Americans have a hard time in the work force so when you see someone flying high they should be encouraged and celebrated. In the case of this young black pilot, he is literally flying high!

Principal Baruti Kafele of Newark, via the Newark Anti-Violence Coalition, took a moment to post the following text and image to their facebook page.

“As I’m getting off the plane in DC, I notice this young man flew the plane. I got excited….y’all know me! I said, can we take a pic? He obliged me. 23 years old!!! Don’t tell me these boys can’t soar!” – Principal Baruti Kafele of Newark
