On Saturday South Carolinan’s will take to the poll to pick either Bernie or Hilary. Amongst black votes it’s going to be close but Bernie just bagged another big celebrity endorsement with veteran film director Spike Lee. Strangely Spike’s wife has made it clear she backs Hilary!

With just days to go Spike evoked his movie “Do The Right Things” with a radio spot that starts

“Wake up! Wake up, South Carolina! This is your dude, Spike Lee, And you know that I know that you know that the system is rigged! And for too long we’ve given our votes to corporate puppets. Sold the okie-doke. Ninety-nine percent of Americans were hurt by the Great Recession of 2008, and many are still recovering.”

The endorsement goes onto say that Bernie doesn’t take money from corps and talks of his standing up for civil rights going onto say:

“That’s why I am officially endorsing my brother, Bernie Sanders,” he continued in the radio ad. “When Bernie gets into the White House, he will do the right thing!”

You can hear the radio spot below:

So this is what his wife Tonya Lewis Lee posted on Twitter after the ad aired!

“Just to be clear, while my husband @SpikeLee supports Bernie Sanders @HillaryClinton is my candidate!”

Interesting! Do you agree with Spike?
