Tampa Officers Refusing Extra Work To Police Beyoncé Sold Out Stadium Show!

Tampa Stadium will see Beyoncé in formation in a huge April concert. Of course it is expected to be a sell out, however Tampa police were reported to not be wanting to work the show!

Fox13 reported that signup sheets for the extra work to police the event had remained blank. No police officers wanted the extra work despite it bringing extra pay.

Many have speculated this was in response to Bee’s Superbowl halftime show which many officers thought was anti-police.

However the Tampa police department know they can’t leave such an event un-policed and did say that in the instance that no off-duty cops signed up for the extra work they would still have to send on-duty cops to look after everyone at the event.

The news of there being no sign ups came on Wednesday but Tampa police have since claimed that dozens had signed up by tweeting:

However when Fox13 asked for a list of these officers they said they didn’t know exactly with a spokesman saying “TPD is unable to do so because of the way these types of events are staffed, which he described as “decidedly decentralized,” with supervisors”
