Alabama Cop Purchased New Shoes for Working Teen

Alabama police officer Sebastian Goldman is getting a lot attention for his good deed. While at the grocery store buying lunch for the inmates at his station, a Food Giant grocery store employee helped him take his groceries to the car. While the 19 year-old young man was helping him, Goldman looked down and noticed his shoes had duct tape on them.

The kids these days have some unique fashion trends and Goldman wasn’t sure if this was one of them.

Goldman asked the young man, “What’s up with the duct tape?

” The teen told him he ripped his shoe and would be buying some new ones when he got his next paycheck. The weather had been treacherous in Hueytown and knowing this young man had to walk around without a decent pair of shoes didn’t sit well with Goldman. So he casually asked the young man his shoe size and left.

After dropping off the food Goldman returned to store with shoes for the young man. Goldman didn’t do this for attention, he was simply in a position to help someone so he did. The young man asked him, “What do I owe you?” He told him to pay it forward.

If you see your brother or sister in need of help, help them! The smallest act of kindness could mean the world to someone. Goldman knew the weather was horrible and didn’t know if the young had to walk to work or not, he just thought he deserved a decent pair of shoes.
