Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings is speaking up and making statements that make a whole lot of sense, as far as I am concerned!

The Mayor really laid it out when talking to MSNBC and told us why he is open to more refugees and why he is more afraid of the white men who have been involved in mass shootings than the muslim refugees.

Here are a few of his comments:

“ISIS is no more Islamic than Nazi senior staff was Christian.”

“ISIS is no more Islamic than Nazi senior staff was Christian.”

“The safety of Dallasities is paramount in his mind and my mind as well,”

“We want to get rid of ISIS. We all agree with that. ISIS wants us to be divided on this issue. ISIS wants us to demonize these refugees, wants us to alienate these children.

Basically he is saying that we need to welcome these people and not let it change who we are as Americans. The process for them entering is pretty solid and as safe as it can be. ISIS wants to divide and cause hate but as Americans this needs to be fought.

I can’t agree with the mayor and his forward thinking words even more!

As for his fears, well just this morning a breaking news story shows alleged white supremacists have shot 5 people after open firing at a #BLM related protest! Isn’t that something to be very very scared of?
