Last Monday the town of Farrel, Pennsylvania swore in new police chief Thomas Burke.
However now it’s surfaced that Burke used the N-word in an email for a book fundraiser.
The email was discovered just days after he was sworn in according to reports from WICU.
So what did the email say? Well apparently it said….
“Good morning,… Please click and review. Even $1.00 will be greatly appreciated.

The letter was said to have been sent to about a dozen friends and colleagues. He was working at the security department of a local steel mill.
Councilwoman Stephanie Sheffield said that Burke personally showed up with a written apology after the email surfaced. Burke apparently tried to say he uses the N-word often because it’s how it is round there. Of course Sheffield still thinks it’s unacceptable and insisted “He should not stand in that position if he’s going to use the N-word,”
However Farrell Mayor Olive McKeithan stood up for Burke and said of his character.
Councilwoman Stephanie Sheffield and Mayor Olive McKeithan are both African American.
“Until you get to know a man’s character, you can’t judge him by one off-the-cuff remark, or else we would have to judge all white people as equally guilty,… I have spoken with Mr. Burke and consider the matter as closed.”
Burke is said to be giving a public apology on Monday in the rotunda of the city’s municipal building.
