We all know that Jesus has been a pivotal person in the black community since slavery. Black women in our community have put Jesus before their husbands. Our community has struggle with the image of Jesus being a white man or a black man. Dr. John Henrick Clarke said it best, “The master and slave can’t serve the same Jesus and ask for opposite things from the same Jesus”.
If you were to ask the generations of the 60’s and 70’s, Jesus is the number one person in the household. However, in the past couple of years, things seem to be changing for the better when it comes the black conscious movement. The kids today are recognizing Malcolm X more than they are recognizing Jesus. Maybe this is the generation that talks us to the next level. What do you think
Kids chose Malcom X over Jesus..a must watch…
