Atheist Anger… Why?

by | Jul 3, 2013 | Blog | 1 comment

There are those intellectuals who are believers in God… And, there are others who do no. Ok… fine. However answer this this… Why the absolute anger atheists have when the mention of God existing occurs? If you tell most believers that God does not exist, then most will either shrug it off or explain why they believe. If you tell an atheist that God exists, there are but 2 reactions. There is an absolute and total anger over the situation, or there is a mocking superiority that comes with it. It is never truly a discussion, but one of berating and ridicule.

angerSo my questions here are:

  1. Why?
  2. Are atheists truly that afraid of being wrong that they lash out at believers?
  3. Or does the anger come from believer’s blindness to what they consider to be the truth?

Please answer with intelligence and not rage and misplaced anger if possible in God… And, there are others who do know. Ok… fine. However answer this this…

The rage and anger that is expressed by someone who is not of faith borderlines that of antagonism, rather than that of expressed opinion. If you are an atheist then please answer with respect and courtesy… believers do the same. We are intellectuals here people… Remember that before you decide to answer with barbs or petty vulgarities. Cussing is for the unintelligent… Don’t discredit your statements by showing stupidity.

Alright then… Begin.

Wow I guess the lack of responses is telling how tough this conversation is.

Let me put it to you this way, the best thing I ever did for my spiritual life, was to so called become and atheist.

I believe if I have ever seemed angry or very dismissive to creationist is there assumptions and certainty.

It is our humanity that feels it’s connection to the universe, and Theo was anthropomorphic theory that resulted in what we call our religions. Humanity has had many gods over eons. If there where a true god of the anthropomorphic type especially with the personality type that is in the bible there is no chance that there could exist this crises of identity from a peak -a-boo deity.

I am grateful for all the beauty that there is around me and careful not to disturb it because I know it was not made for me. When theist drop bombs of presumptions that there particular god created the beauty we see, and they know him. This sounds out right offensive when your and atheist.

No body knows god. No one can say they have an understanding of any book of god. At best, the bible is mans inspired word about a god he did not know. At worst a very old strategy the european is using to cause division and strife among it’s slaves.

This weekend I attended my spiritual community something I still enjoy. I believe in fasting and meditation and I love being alive!

I am not at all afraid of being proven wrong. Franky that would be very cool! I don’t go for old books or feelings. If it were in an old book that book would have to be perfect and so for those do not exist. It is silly to spend so much time pretending that the bible or parts of it are from god.

I believe the anger comes from believers feeling personally attacked because, in my opinion the god is an extension of their identity.

I believe believers want to believe there is a cosmic law that will move things in the direction of what they feel is just. The more oppressed a people are the more this pressure is. Good people in these cultures will take on religion as a means of creating good in they’re community. The amplified good is not because there is a god it is there good.

I believe we could do much more good to each other if we did not insist too much on details of god.

At my spiritual community as we did the meditation for me it was ruined because the particular practitioner not only elaborated on a man’s throne and a man sitting on it. She suggested that we tune into the voices of the angels. That really ruined the rest of it for me.

Fasting meditation, hiking, and gratitude for all this beauty I get to see, and the profound sense of connection and the truth has nothing to do with any of the myths that man believes, or have believed.

It is a wonderful thing to be in a community where we can celebrate good things though.
