Fear of Black: Universal to ‘Support’ Theaters Requesting Extra Security During ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Showings

Apparently, the NWA biopic movie has movie theaters around the country concerned the gang related theme will incite violence. This according to an announcement of “support” to theaters by Universal.

Must be the fact that black people are going to come out in droves to support the move at the base of their concerns. The fear of black people coming together for any number of reasons seem to be cause of concern for many in this country.

A Universal Universal spokesman said:

[ADSENSE2]“The studio has not solicited enhanced security for theaters who will begin showing it this weekend, but has partnered with those exhibitors who have requested support for their locations,” a Universal spokesman said.

Despite the fact of hundreds of pre-release screenings around the country of the “Straight Outta Compton” movie have gone without incident, the studio felt compelled to make this statement.

Obviously, the theaters are very concerned with hard working black people that grew up in the American made ghettos of the United States spending their money for overpriced movies.

The movie is expected to do very well at the box office and early indications are it is only going to continue.

QUESTION: Are you going to see the NWA movie?
