WTH: After Requesting White Teenage Target Practice Image Instead of Black Image, A Man Is Called Racist & Refused

A black man holding a gun as the image on a gun range’s target practice began circulating the internet this week. The black community is obviously offended and upset over the use of a black man for target practice.

A Facebook post by Javell Woods sparked the outrage in the community over the image. He posted the image with these words:

“So I go to the range yesterday and this is the pic they had for target practice….I ask if he had any teenage white males I could practice shooting at and he told me I was racist.”

What is interesting is this organization does make several versions of their target practice images including white males and females. I haven’t seen any white teenager versions as Mr Woods says he requested, but there are other races.

Nevertheless, the high number of black males that have been shot and killed by police officers in the past few years obviously has the black community on edge. They were not pleased over this visual and think it is offensive the shop owner would call Mr.

Why would they only have black images available?

SOUND OFF: What do you think about the target practice image and should the black community be outraged?

The question that I have is why are human images used for target practice anyway? Also, why are only Black human images are available, but when the Black patron asked for White images to use as target practice the shop owner refused? Why, especially since the organization have a wide-range of target images people can use. Additionally, can a patron bring and use their own practice target images or they have to use what the gun shop or shooting range gives the patron?
