Donald Trump made some derogatory comments about Mexicans and illegal immigration following his announcement as a Republican nominee for the 2016 Presidential election. However, instead of demanding an apology, pray or run to news cameras to plead racism, they moved as a unit and used their economic power to hit injustice and bigotry in the pockets.

Trump referenced migrants from Mexico to the USA as drug runners and rapist.

“They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists, and some I assume are good people, but I speak to border guards and they tell us what we are getting,” he said in opening his campaign at Trump Tower on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue.

Now NBC is stepping up to the plate to FIRE Donald Trump.

The pageants, which are part of a joint venture between NBCUniversal and Trump, would no longer air on NBC “due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants” the company said in a press release.

Trump was already not going to take part in “The Apprentice” on NBC, a show in which he uses “You’re Fired!” as his signature command to eliminate contestants.

In true Trump, fashion he isn’t backing down from his comments and threatening to sue everyone involved.

“Mr. Trump stands by his statements on illegal immigration, which are accurate. NBC is weak, and like everybody else is trying to be politically correct – that is why our country is in serious trouble,” a Trump Organization statement said.

The Lesson for the Black Community: Move As A Unit

The Latino community came together as a whole and took action. They didn’t beg or banter between one another about the “injustice” of Trumps comments. They used their organizations, affiliations, voting block and economic capital hit Trump in the gut, his pockets.

The black community need to stop bickering amongst one another about any and everything. It is time to MOVE AS A UNIT when facing injustices in our community and creating the future we desire.
