Our people have a horrible color complex. It’s something we don’t like to discuss or admit, but we know it is true. You may be aware and attempt to teach your children better, but they are met with many of their peers who haven’t. And like it or not, they impact our children.

This precious young girl experiences some of the color issues we have in our community. She comes to her mother crying because she doesn’t like the color of her skin. The little girls at school are making her feel bad for being brown.

In our opinion, this mom had a powerful response we call should take note.
