The “New Blacks” seem to have gained another member this week. He was one of the last entertainers we would have thought could have been so foolish.

Common displayed no sense talking to “The Daily Show” host, John Stewart. Common was on the show promoting his new movie “Run All Night” where he stars next to Liam Neeson in the thriller. However, when the discussion turned to his most recent project “Selma” and race relations, things went sour for many in the black community.

common new black nonsenseTalk about the honor he had to win the Oscar along with John Legend for their song “Glory” made Common beam with pride. Their discussion about playing a piviotal character in the movie, meeting some of the promient leaders of the time. All of this really connected him to the era.

Common started to unwind, as far as many in the black community are concerned at this point.

Starting at 4:55 in the video below:

[ADSENSE2]

He says….

“I’m extending my hand in love. Let’s forget about the past as much as we can. and let’s move from where we are now. now how can we help each other. Can you try to help us? Because we are going to help ourselves too.”

The nonsense ensued further as he talked about race relations in terms of being in a relationship. A relationship where one party is constantly bringing up the past. He is at the point of…baby, I love you. Let’s forget about the past and move on.

I about passed out. Hope you are sitting down.

To put the onus of repairing race relations on black people is UTTERLY RIDICULOUS and i’m offended Common would say such a thing.

SOUND OFF: What do you think of Common’s opinion on healing race relations in America?
