I wouldn’t call it a comeback if you never gave up the top spot. Russell Wilson, arguably had the best second half of his professional football career on Sunday to propel the Seattle Seahawks to Superbowl 2015.
The Seahawks waited until the 2nd half of the game to score all of their points and the gaming winning touchdown in OT, against the Green Bay Packers. Improbable, is how this game is being described.
“How did the Packers defense allow this to happen”, is the wrong question. More like, “Why are we still under estimating the Seattle Seahawks?”
When you’re being led by sheer will and determination, fueled in part by all the naysayers, it becomes second nature to fight through all obstacles. Russell Wilson is no stranger to improbable.
At 5’11, 203 lbs and the 12th pick in the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL Draft, he may have heard how impossible it would become to win regular season games in this league. Well, he must not have heard the talk because Seattle has won back-to-back NFC Championships and are headed to the big game.
If your not a fan of the Seattle Seahawks now is a good time to get behind the underdog. Russell Wilson doesn’t fit the image of the all-American, QB, grinding his team to victory. That promotion is reserved for the Mannings, Brady’s and Rodger’s.
If supporting the Seahawks appeals to your sense of right and going against the grain, then GO SEATTLE!
