Jesse Williams Talks Ferguson And White Supremacy

The first time I saw Jesse Williams speak on racism and the Ferguson situation, it made me an instant fan. Much bigger and better than anything he has done on the big screen or in Hollywood, but this clip is absolutely bonkers. He goes HAM….with the truth.

It feels good to know not all of our celebrities have lost their damn minds and are not afraid to stand up and speak for what is right. He is mixed and claims to have many white people in his family, but acknowledges some of them understand the oppression of the black community by America and some of them are in denial, but that is because they don’t go out and engage the community.

Jesse+Williams+Rome+Love+Premiere+UTB0wnJdVSHlHe says if you just sit at home as a white person and watch television, then of course you are going to have some racist views. You don’t know any actual black people. The media outlets are painting us into foul corners as a people and it is obvious.

It is great to hear him speak because he actually knows his history and not the brainwashed version told over and over to us in schools. Apparently, Jesse is well studied in history because that was his major in college and before he made it in Hollywood, he was a high school history teacher.

Jesse goes on in the video below to point out that he has had to turn down many roles in Hollywood because they mainly want you to wear a du-rag and rob someone as a corner boy. He said many of his friends are typecasted into these roles, but when you have to pay your bills and feed your family, then what do you do?

Check out the video below and let us know your thoughts.
