At just twelve years old Brianna Lyston is ahead of the curve set by Usain Bolt at her age and is breaking records becoming the first girl under 13 to beat a 24 second 200 meters at the 2017 Boys and Girls Championships and smashing her competition by a clear 1 second!

Absolutely amazing!

Her 200m semi-final run clocked in at 23.46 seconds but sadly it was wind-aided, however she still smashed it in the final with a wind-legal record of 23.72 seconds, just 2 seconds off the adult women’s world record!

Brianna’s mom, Toya Bennett, spoke to The Telegraph and said:

“I’m so proud of her. It was just fantastic to watch. She always trains very hard and when she came off the track, she just felt great.”
